Sue Hardy is the stylist behind Elegant Exposures. She trained in hairdressing and beauty therapy, working in London salons and on cruise ships, and that grounding in hair, makeup and finish still shows in every look she builds.
From there she moved into millinery, making headdresses and giving vintage hats a new life through upcycling. Headwear has stayed a signature of her styling, and it finds its way into many of the project’s looks.
Sue has also acted on stage and in film. That experience with character, costume and story feeds directly into how she styles a shoot. Each look is built to suggest a person and a setting, not just an outfit.
She now plans and styles the Elegant Exposures shoots with photographer Bob Foyers, handling the wardrobe, hair and makeup for each concept, often on her home ground around Halesworth.
