Styling and photography, made together in Suffolk.
Elegant Exposures is a creative partnership between stylist Sue Hardy and photographer Bob Foyers. We plan looks that are interesting and slightly off the wall, then photograph them properly, on location around Suffolk and in the studio at Rendlesham. The aim every time is a picture that grabs the eye and holds it, imagery with some staying power rather than something that disappears into a feed. The project runs alongside Bob’s main business, Foyers Photography, where all commissioned work is booked.
Meet the Team
Sue: Fashion Stylist Sue styles every shoot. She trained in hairdressing and beauty therapy in London salons and on cruise ships, worked as a milliner making and upcycling hats, and has acted on stage and in film. All of it feeds into her styling: the wardrobe, the hair and makeup, and the small details that make a look hold together.
Bob: Fashion Photographer Bob takes the photographs. He is a professional photographer based in Suffolk, working from his studio at Rendlesham on commercial, portrait and headshot commissions. Elegant Exposures is where he experiments: new lighting, new locations and ideas that would not fit inside a client brief.

Shoots Personal Fashion Shoots
Shoots built around you and your wardrobe. That might be a personal portfolio, images for your brand, or a set of photographs made for the fun of it. Sue plans the styling with you, Bob photographs it, and bookings run through Foyers Photography.
Editorial Photography
Concept-led shoots in the style of a magazine editorial. If you are a designer or maker with work that needs a story around it, tell us what you have in mind. Commissioned work is booked through Foyers Photography.
Event Coverage
We also photograph events, from fashion shows to corporate evenings. Tell us about the event and we will let you know honestly whether we are the right fit. Event bookings are handled through Foyers Photography.
How We Work
Collaboration
Every shoot is a collaboration. Sue plans the styling, Bob plans the light, and the model shapes the look with us on the day. Project shoots have no client brief, which gives us room to experiment and to chase ideas that might not come off. The ones that land are the pictures we are proudest of.

Fashion and Photography, Planned as One
Fashion photography works best when the styling and the photography are planned as one thing. A strong look photographed carelessly falls flat, and careful lighting cannot rescue a look that has not been thought through. So we plan both sides together from the start: the wardrobe, the location, the light and the mood.
The planning is shared. Sue builds each look from wardrobe, headwear, hair and makeup, usually around a single starting idea. Bob works out how to light it and where to shoot it. The model brings movement and character on the day, and the best frames tend to come from all three of us pulling in the same direction.
We shoot in the studio and on location around Suffolk and Norfolk. Beaches at sunrise, an old mill, riversides and railway arches have all featured. Early starts are common, because the light is at its best and the locations are quiet before the day gets going.
Some ideas fall flat, and that is part of the point. With no client waiting on the results we can take risks, learn from what does not work, and keep the images that do.
